!Friendica Support Is there any way to change post permissions / visibility when composing a comment? Some sort of addon I can enable?
Sometimes, I want to be able to reply to a post, but also make my reply public instead of the default unlisted.

@Gordon Pedersen Unfortunately not. Unlike Mastodon that is based on individual posts, Friendica is structured around conversations, and comments adopt the visibility of the top-level post.

I've been using the #Fedilab app on Android to reply and change the permissions on the reply, but I've just realized I haven't really tested how the posts are actually permissioned in Friendica.

Via the API it will work, but you can't do it from the web frontend.

I can imagine few use cases and my Mastodon friends are also using this feature. Is it already decided thing or there is a chance to see the feature included in web frontend as well someday?
