@Ji Fu (Domestic Terrorist) @Friendica Support shared Diaspora posts are done as quoted posts. So it seems as if the app doesn't support quoted posts.

That's a bug in the @RaccoonForFriendica App. Fedilab and others display the QuotePost

@Ji Fu (Domestic Terrorist) This is a known issue still present in the Play Store app. The latest release available on GitHub also correctly handles citations on the latest Friendica release.
