Opengraph image different from Avatar?

Hi,

is there a way to configure per account a different opengraph image than the avatar image?

Reason I am asking is, when I am sharing single posts (no urls to articles) on other networks I would love to use a different standard image, where e.g. I can advertise the #fediverse in words and logo.

So sharing would meet 3 situations

  • Sharing a post with my profile URL = my avatar
  • Sharing a post - no URL provided = my fediverse logo / fallback (if not defined) my avatar
  • Sharing a post with an article url = the article opengraph image


What do you think? And would it be possible?

That's slightly complicated, since the Opengraph data generation is done at an early stage of rendering the page where a lot of stuff hasn't been processed.

It's not impossible, but it is not that easy. At least if it's done correctly.
