!Friendica Support Is there a way to integrate an external application into Friendica via an access token like in Mastodon?
@Nordnick :verified:
I have a smart home APP that needs a access token from friendica to interact with it, wondering if friendica provides somthing linke that
@Friendica Support
Regarding the #Mastodon #Client #API, a good start is here:
https://docs.joinmastodon.org/client/intro/

Regarding #Friendica #APIs, maybe this helps:
https://friendi.ca/resources/mobile-clients/

And then it would be up to your specific app... ;-)

@Nordnick :verified: I think I didn't express myself correctly.
I have an app for my smart home that was actually made for Mastodon. When logging into the Mastodon account, the server address and access token are required. I don't have a Mastodon account, just one on Friendica. I thought since you can log into Friendica with many Mastodon apps, will Friendica have an access key hidden somewhere?
Ah, okay, the app doesn't register itself...

Usually a #Mastodon app registers itself as an app on the instance and then obtain a token through a user login.

Then the question would be, does #Friendica allow to create manually an app and then an user token...

As i just set up a #Friendica instance last year for testing, i can't answer this from my mind...
